Troutwere stocked in October. In June stocked trout fed primarily on invertebrates while nativeÆsh were piscivorous. From July onwards the composition of the diet of both stocked andnative trout was similar and consisted almost entirely of small-sized whiteÆsh. Brown troutwere already piscivorous at a length of about 20 cm. The mean length of prey consumedwas about 12 cm. Mean length-at-age was similar from the second year in the lake despiteof the larger size of stocked Æsh during the Ærst year in the lake. |
