|Lisätietoa:||In many ways, The Flyfishers is the story of British fly fishing from 1884 to the present day, and the work highlights the important role that the Club has played in advancing the cause of our sport. Our contribution to the literature of angling is only matched by the concern that Members have shown for environmental issues, and in the preservation of Britain’s angling heritage.
The book has been many years in preparation, and in addition to a meticulously researched history, contains more than 400 photographs, many of which appear for the first time in print. After 135 years, the Club’s story can finally be told.
We are very pleased with the result, which shows the Club to be an institution like no other, and in whose story we all take great pride. The Club owes a great debt of gratitude to Dr Andrew Herd for his painstaking research in writing this entertaining book.|
